Imperiale Racing secures a Pro-Am podium in the third round of the Italian GT Endurance Championship at Imola

Imperiale Racing concludes the third round of the Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship, held from September 4th to 6th, 2026 at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola, with a Pro-Am podium. The Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 #85 produced a remarkable recovery drive from 28th position to fifth overall and third in the Pro-Am category, a result that allows the crew to retain the lead in the championship standings.

Positive signs also came from Car #54, which showed consistent and steadily improving race pace before being forced to retire due to a shock absorber issue with just 25 minutes remaining before the chequered flag.

It was an intense weekend for Imperiale Racing, during which the drivers and team demonstrated competitiveness, resilience and strong teamwork, keeping the title fight open ahead of the final round of the season.

Car #85: from P28 to the Pro-Am podium at Imola

The race for Lamborghini #85 got off to a difficult start. A challenging opening phase saw the car drop to 28th position, forcing the crew to undertake a long recovery drive on a particularly demanding circuit and in a race featuring a field of no fewer than 52 cars.

From that moment, an outstanding comeback began, built on excellent race pace and effective management of the different situations encountered on track.

Car #85 progressively made its way through the field to cross the finish line in fifth position overall, while also securing the third step of the podium in the Pro-Am category.

An important result not only for the Imola weekend, but above all from a championship perspective: the podium allows Imperiale Racing to retain first place in the Pro-Am standings with just one round remaining in the Endurance season.

Strong race pace for Lamborghini #54

The Imola weekend also showed significant progress for Car #54.

The car demonstrated consistent and continuously improving race pace, highlighting its potential to achieve a positive result at the end of the race.

However, with just 25 minutes remaining, a shock absorber issue forced Car #54 to retire, prematurely ending a race that had provided encouraging signs up to that point.

An outcome that does not take away from the work carried out throughout the weekend and the progress shown by the car across the different sessions.

Drivers and team deliver strong performances during the Italian GT Endurance weekend

From qualifying through to the closing stages of the race, the Imperiale Racing drivers delivered solid performances, handling the different situations that characterised a particularly complex event with great professionalism.

With 52 cars on track, managing traffic and unexpected situations required great attention, but the crews maintained a high level of driving throughout the weekend.

The work carried out by the engineers, technicians and mechanics was also fundamental, allowing both cars to demonstrate competitive pace. The final result only partially rewards the team’s efforts, but the podium for Car #85 and the performances shown by Car #54 provide important indications ahead of the final and decisive round of the season.

Imperiale Racing looks ahead to the Mugello finale and the Pro-Am title

With the third round of the Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship completed, Imperiale Racing’s full attention now turns to the championship finale, scheduled from October 30th to November 1st, 2026 at the Autodromo Internazionale del Mugello.

Lamborghini #85 will arrive at the final round of the season as the leader of the Pro-Am standings, with a clear objective: to complete the journey built throughout the season and fight until the final race to secure the category title.

Following the podium achieved at Imola, Imperiale Racing now begins its preparations for the decisive Mugello round, where the 2026 Italian Gran Turismo Endurance Championship title will be decided.
